Due to the high number of denials and days in AR, the RCM strategy in place needed to be analyzed to discover the reason for denials. After completing the denial trend analysis, Plutus Health identified two payers as the root cause of the denials. We added appropriate modifiers based on provider credentials and pre-authorizations. We were able to offer our client excellent feedback and educational training in the area of modifiers. 

The Results

• Denials from the two identified payers were reduced by 41.6% in just 50 days 
• Overall cash flow increased by 23.3% 
• 90+ AR days reduced by 33.2%
