Job Summary
We seek a knowledgeable and experienced Substance Abuse Disorder Billing Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of billing processes, insurance claims, and compliance specific to substance abuse disorders. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely billing, maximize revenue, and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Billing and Claims Management:
- Process and submit insurance claims for substance abuse disorder treatments.
- Monitor claims to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.
- Address and resolve any issues related to denied or rejected claims.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate coding and documentation for services rendered.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all billing practices comply with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation for all billing activities.
- Stay updated on changes in billing regulations and guidelines related to substance abuse disorders.
Revenue Cycle Management:
- Analyze and optimize the revenue cycle processes to maximize revenue.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving billing efficiency and accuracy.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate regular reports on billing activities, revenue, and claim status.
- Conduct financial analyses to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
